Steve Parrish got started in the Phoenix media market co-writing
and producing material for radio personality Dave Pratt. During that time, he and current Desertcoast partner Mike
Waldrip wrote Hear Your Heart, a famine relief recording project
featuring prominent Arizona residents such as Sen. John McCain, Glen
Campbell, The Tubes, and other media personalities in the city. The high profile nature of that project led to producing a
wide range of valley artists, often being sought out by Phoenix and Los
Angeles based publishers to produce emerging artists and writers. Steve
then lent his talents to helping launch Tempe’s Red Mountain Studios and
co-founding PULSE MEDIA MUSIC. Producing
tracks for the Cardinals Insider show, PULSE MEDIA MUSIC also scored
the Emmy-winning Overtime Sports on KPHO/CBS. Soon after, the company
produced a national Pro Max-nominated ad campaign promoting CBS talk shows. Pulse Media Music soon evolved into DESERTCOAST MUSIC GROUP.
Forging alliances with other prolific valley writers, Desertcoast productions
cross many genres and styles, from ad campaigns to music heard on all major
TV networks. You’ll also hear Steve and Mike’s Desertcoast productions on Clear
Channel’s Xtra910 Sports, Sports620KTAR, Amare Stoudemire’s official website,
MTV’s N-Network, HBO’s original programming, and several recent
independent films. Copyright 2008 Steve Parrish & Mike Waldrip /Desert Coast
